Delete your Oustwit account
You can delete your Oustwit account at any time. When you confirm, your account is deactivated immediately and your profile disappears from other players. We then keep your data — your profile, match history, replays, and opponent records — for 30 days so you can change your mind, and permanently delete it after that. This page exists so you can request deletion even if you no longer have the app installed.
Two ways to delete your account
Option 1 — Inside the app (fastest)
- Open Oustwit on your phone.
- Tap your profile icon, then Settings → Delete account.
- Confirm with the one-time code we email you.
Your account is deactivated immediately. We keep your data for 30 days in case you change your mind, then permanently delete it.
Option 2 — On the web (if you've already removed the app)
If you no longer have Oustwit installed, you can delete your account here. First, verify it's you using the same method you sign in with.
If you signed in with Apple or Google — including Apple's “Hide My Email” — use the matching button above. You'll sign in with that provider and then confirm deletion. No email is needed.
Or, if you sign in with an email code:
If you no longer have access to the email inbox on your account, contact
from any address and tell us as much as you can about the account (username, approximate sign-up date, country flag, last opponent you remember). We'll verify your identity manually and then process the deletion. This typically takes 3–5 business days.
What gets deleted
When you confirm deletion, your account is deactivated immediately. We keep the following for 30 days so you can restore your account, then permanently delete it:
- Your account record (email, sign-in tokens).
- Your profile (nickname and country).
- Your match history and replays.
- Your opponent records and per-opponent stats.
- Your unspent credits balance.
In-match messages are a fixed set of preset quick phrases that are never stored on our servers, so there's nothing to delete there.
What might be retained
A small amount of information may be retained for legal or audit reasons:
- Anonymized purchase records. Tax and consumer-protection law in most jurisdictions requires that we keep transaction records for a period of years (typically 6–10). After deletion, these records no longer link to your name, email, or any other identifier — only the date, amount, currency, and the platform that processed the payment.
- Abuse-report logs. If you were the subject of an active abuse investigation, the related logs may be kept until the investigation closes and any resulting account action has been recorded.
- Backups. Routine encrypted backups may temporarily retain a copy of deleted data; backups roll over within 35 days.
We never re-create deleted profiles from these retained records.
What about purchases I haven't used yet?
Unspent credits cannot be transferred, refunded by us, or returned in cash — they're an in-game item with no monetary value. If you bought a credit pack recently and want a refund, request it directly from Google Play (Android) or the App Store (iOS) before deleting your account. Our Terms of Service explain this in more detail.
I changed my mind — can I undo deletion?
Within the first 30 days after you confirm deletion, you have two ways to restore your account. The simplest is to sign back into the Oustwit app — when you sign in to a deactivated account it'll show a Restore option. If you no longer have the app installed, email
from the original account email and we'll restore it for you. After 30 days the data is permanently deleted and we cannot recover it.
